Abstract
This study aimed to determine the level of awareness of the grade 10 students of Cordillera Career Development College on sexual health. Specifically, it focused on early pregnancy, abortion, and single parenthood. The study is a quantitative research that made use of descriptive design and utilized a structured questionnaire as tool in data-gathering. The 149 junior high school students from CCDC were the respondents of the study. Data gathered were analyzed using descriptive statistics. F-test was used to determine the differences in the level of awareness of the respondents. Results revealed that the students are highly aware on early pregnancy, abortion, and single parenthood. It is concluded that gender and parenting styles affected the awareness of the grade 10 students of Cordillera Career Development College on early pregnancy, abortion and single parenthood; and rank in the family did not significantly affect the awareness of grade 10 students.
Objectives
This study was undertaken to determine the level of awareness of grade 10 students of CCDC on sexual health.
Specifically, it looked into the:
1. Level of awareness of the respondents in terms of early pregnancy
1.1. Differences on the level of the awareness of the respondents in terms of early pregnancy according to gender, rank in the family and parenting styles.
2. Level of awareness of the respondents in terms of abortion
2.1. Differences on the level of awareness of the respondents in terms of abortion according to gender, rank in the family and parenting styles.
3. Level of awareness of the respondents in terms of single parenthood
3.1. Differences on the level of awareness of the respondents in terms of single parenthood according to gender, rank in the family and parenting styles.
